Carrie Haley has a Master’s Degree from the
History.
She has documented notable collections of antique tribal African,
Asian, Oceanic & Native American art, as well as Impressionist paintings,
Art Deco furniture and a rare guitar collection
“KANTHA EMBROIDERY OF INDIA” by Shamlu Dudeja
Shamlu Dudeja started SHE (Self Help
Enterprise), a non profit organization in
training seamstresses in the traditional
craft of Kantha embroidery. She
has brought these beautiful textiles to the Folk Art Market each year.
In addition to providing healthcare for the women and their families,
sales proceeds go to development, training &
purchase of materials.
